Imagine this, you have just finished a delicious plate of fresh juicy pineapple. It love it so much its your favourite fruit in the entire world. Then suddenly your tongues has a weird tingling sensation it feels almost fuzzy. It doesn't stop and you can't do anything about it.

This happens to me literally every time I eat pineapple but why?

Here is what I found on why pineapples make your tongue itch:

The irritation is caused by a combination of enzymes in pineapples called bromelian, which break down proteins and essentially attack your tongue, cheeks, and lips on contact.
