Here is the answer to why bees buzz:
When bees fly from flower to flower their wings vibrate at a rapid speed. This creates vibrations in the air that we hear as buzzing. Also buzz- pollinating bees such as a bumble bee uses their wings vibration when they are on a flower to shake the pollen off the flower.
